OB tells Max that if he wants to be with Steph he has to make a move and tell her, but are the poles-apart pair just too different to have a successful relationship?
A smitten Rhys gets ready for his date with Beth. Could they be a match made in heaven?
It's Jacqui's birthday, but all she can think about is the impending visit from the adoption officer, and Tony secretly worries that her chequered past may come back to haunt her.

Tom finds it hard watching Steph dating his big brother, until OB reassures him that Max really does like her. But the big question is whether Steph and Max will make it beyond their first real date as a couple.
Rhys is still doe eyed about Beth. Katy has had enough of Justin moping around after her, but Justin thinks he's still in with a chance. In the end, Jessica gives Justin some advice - if he wants to win Katy back he'll have to make a grand gesture.
Wednesday, October 10
The students decide to throw a party in halls to celebrate Kris returning and John Paul moving in.
When the boiler stops working, Jessica gets Danny to fix it on the cheap, a decision that will have huge consequences.
Mercedes sees Russ arrive at the party with new girl Summer.
Katy is devastated when Justin turns up. He storms out, unaware that he may never see her alive again.
Carmel tries to avoid Russ, but he is determined to sort things out between them.
Rhys is torn between seeing Beth and obliging Neville by visiting Hannah in hospital.
Thursday, October 11
Justin arrives back at halls to find all the students unconscious, including Katy. He drags them out one by one and rings for an ambulance. Jessica comes home to the chaos and panics - it's all her fault.
As the door of one of the bedrooms is broken down, Mercedes is stunned to see Carmel and Russ unconscious in each other's arms.
After a great date, Rhys takes Beth back to his parents' house, where she tells him that she doesn't see the point in taking things slowly.
OB realises Tom is still struggling to accept that Max and Steph are an item.
Friday, October 12
The McQueens keep a vigil beside Carmel's hospital bed. Mercedes is worried about her sister, but wants to know what she was doing in Russ's arms.
Justin is delighted when Katy wakes up. He apologises for the way he has behaved and she tells him that she wants to get back together.
Jessica tells Danny to keep quiet about the boiler he fixed at the halls, but Myra finds out that the carbon monoxide leak was their fault and hunts them down.
Gilly winds up Rhys about his date with Beth - if it was that good, why hasn't she called him?

Katy is pleased to be released from hospital and her day gets even better when Warren gives her and Justin his blessing. But Justin is shocked when Warren reveals his plans for him and Louise
Just as Mercedes and Carmel seem to be coming to some sort of understanding Nana claims she saw Carmel kissing Russ!
O.B. takes Tom to the swimming pool but is more interested in the women there than swimming.
And Jessica panics as she considers the repercussions from the previous week. She's relieved when a letter from college exonerates her from blame but she's not sure if she'll be able to win her friends round.
Tuesday, October 16
Louise asks a shaken Warren to go with her to identify what she thinks is Sean's body.
Mercedes accepts Carmel's peace offering of a free fake tan, but Carmel has the last laugh when Mercedes's fake bake goes hideously wrong.
Jessica is thrilled when Zoe offers her £500, but Myra snatches the cash from her as compensation for nearly killing her kids.
And Tom falls into the deep end while O.B. is chatting up Summer.
Wednesday, October 17
Katy tells Warren he has to tell Louise he killed Sean. Louise is convinced Warren is keeping something from her, and is stunned when he asks her to marry him.
Frankie has to tell Jack that she's gone behind his back and accepted a foster child. Zoe thinks fostering is a lovely idea but Darren doesn't want some random foster kid moving in to The Dog.
Jack faces a big decision: does he really want to break Frankie's heart and tell Daisy to pack her bags? Myra discovers some money's gone missing and accuses her mum of taking the cash.
Nana is offended and starts to pack her things, but suddenly she doesn't look so innocent.
Thursday, October 18
The Ashworths head to hospital to celebrate Neville's birthday with Hannah, but the family are shocked when they finally see her. And when they arrive home they receive a phone call to say Noel has died.
Louise is glowing as she wakes up with her new fiancé, Warren . He finally opens up about his family and admits that he didn't have a happy childhood. Frankie does her best to make Daisy feel welcome. Jack is warming to the idea of having Daisy around but Darren isn't impressed and tells Frankie exactly how he feels.
Having seen a whole new side to Darren, Zoe wonders whether they really have a future together.
Friday, October 19
Amy and Leah are under Ste's spell and vow to make the most of their time together.
Amy is stunned to find that Mike has returned home early with Kathy. A furious Mike attempts to use his fists to deal with the boy who nearly killed his daughter but is shocked when Ste claims to be Leah's father. Josh is hurt to hear that Amy's living with Ste.
Darren realises how much pain his attitude towards Daisy is causing, and encourages Jack and Frankie to carry on fostering. Rhys is frustrated as Beth ignores his calls, and Suzanne thinks he needs to mourn for his father.
monday 22nd- 26th october
Monday, October 22
Neville is worried Noel's wake will be poorly attended and is pleased when Rhys decides to go. However, Rhys is shocked when Neville reveals that Noel had another child - a daughter. Rhys is frozen to the spot when the time comes to meet her and he finds himself face to face with Beth.
Ste staying in the Barnes household causes tension in the family. Sarah tries to reason with Amy but is disappointed when she won't listen, and Amy's warning to the family to stay out of the way casts a dark shadow over Sarah's birthday celebrations.
Frankie and Jack nervously prepare for the arrival of their new foster child, Newt. When Newt arrives, his monosyllabic style of communication increases their distress. As Frankie and Jack resolve to make Newt a part of the family, they secretly wonder what they have let themselves in for.
Tuesday, October 23
It should be a double celebration in the Barnes household for Sarah's birthday and Kathy's return, but a pumped up Mike finally gets an excuse to throw Ste out when he finds money missing from the shop.
The Barnes clan are left in turmoil when Amy abandons the family home and follows Ste into the unknown.
Rhys and Beth are horrified and confused as the fact sinks in that they are brother and sister. Neville invites Beth home, but revulsion at what they have done turns the new-found siblings against each other.
Max reluctantly agrees to go to dinner with the Osbornes after Steph threatens to withhold sex unless he does. Max's awkwardness during the meal increases as his attempts to engage Newt are met with silence and moody stares. Then Frankie's tactless remark about Jack turns dinner into a disastrous row.
Wednesday, October 24
After spending a rough night in a boiler room with baby Leah and Ste, Amy begins to wonder whether they can make it. Sarah and Michaela try to tempt her back home, but although Amy is torn she decides to walk away and start a new life.
Still distraught from the shock revelation that he and Beth are siblings, Rhys is irritable and unable to eat. Angrily he confronts Beth and orders her to leave town immediately, but she refuses point blank - she has as much right to live in the village as he has.
Steph wants to be a proper part of Max's family, but frets about how she can get Tom to like her. Max reassures her that Tom is just jealous, but Steph is devastated when she overhears Tom say he hates her.
The Baby Diegos are desperate for their big break but disagree on the way forward. One thing Fletch and Josh agree on is that they have to ditch Michaela. The only problem now is finding the courage to tell her.
Thursday, October 25
Newt decides to test the limits of the Osbornes' patience and revs up the volume of his stereo. But he is mortified when his birthday turns into a kid's party, and he erupts and hurls a spiteful tirade at his new family.
A fretful Amy tells Ste that she hates their bed and breakfast accommodation. Determined to extract Amy from Ste's claws, Michaela brags about the comforts she will enjoy when she gets home, but Amy's determined not to be swayed.
Nancy has packed off Jake so that she can concentrate on her university projects. But their lodger Russ is also home and the two soon find themselves distracting each other. Nancy laps it up as Russ suggestively wonders what Jake would think to see them now.
Steph tells Max she overheard Tom say he hated her, and later admits to Frankie about the lack of progress in her mission to win the youngster over.
Friday, October 26
Amy reluctantly gives Sarah her new address as the girls call a truce and go for a meal together. Mike is shocked by a surprise visitor - Ste's stepdad, Terry. Mike and Sarah take Terry to see Ste, but are shocked when Terry attacks his stepson.
Jake's frustrating job hunt proves worthwhile when he receives a call with news that he has got a job.
Zoe is shocked when Darren loses ten grand on the horses.
Meanwhile, Frankie is near hysterical when Newt goes missing. An unlikely friendship develops between Darren and Newt, who find themselves opening up to each other when they meet at the park, and Frankie is overjoyed when Darren brings Newt home.
Jake mocks Steph's aspirations as an actress, leaving her a bundle of nerves as she prepares to audition for a health and safety video. But Steph hits a raw nerve when she calls Jake's own career into question.
